Authorities are looking into the apparent suicide of a 39-year-old man in Koforidua.

 The Effiduase District Police Command is currently investigating what appears to be a case of suicide involving a 39-year-old man named Chawey Roland. The incident took place in Koforidua Asokore, within the New Juaben North Municipality of the Eastern Region. Roland's lifeless body was discovered in a well, where it is believed he had jumped into. Sources from Citi News indicate that Roland had been receiving treatment at the Eastern Regional Hospital but had left the hospital without permission and returned home. Tragically, he is suspected to have taken his own life by leaping into the well. The reasons behind Roland's decision to commit suicide remain unclear.
